Neighborhood Network 

The Greater Burgess Community Association maintains contact with community leaders in sixty (60) neighborhoods with over 8,000 homes.

This informal network of Burgess neighborhoods is useful to Burgess residents in many ways:

• We inform neighborhood leaders of current events with updates on road projects, zoning requests and safety issues.
• We provide weekly updates from Horry County regarding upcoming meetings for County Council, boards and commissions, including agendas.
• We distribute press releases of news and events pertinent to Burgess residents.
• We encourage neighborhood leaders to forward all of the important and relevant information we provide to their residents.

Several times a year, we convene the Burgess Leadership Roundtable comprised of community and neighborhood leaders.  These Roundtables provide a forum to present, address and discuss a broad range of issues facing the Burgess community.  Often, the Association will pursue initiatives based upon these community concerns.  Many solutions and effective action have come from our Roundtables.

We host seminars with outside experts dealing with common issues, such as Stormwater drainage, public safety and neighborhood management.
